Selwood Pumps in Iraq June 2009

Selwood has been established in Iraq for many years and has recently received its largest single order from this country.

Selwood’s recently appointed distributor based in Basrah, the Al Badri Company, has ordered four S150 units and five S100 units to be used for various applications within the sewage and oil industry sector. This is the second time Al Badri has ordered Selwood pumps with six Seltorques supplied last year.

For commercial and logistical reasons, Al Badri placed its orders through Al Masaood Oil Industry Supplies, an appointed Selwood distributor based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, who has many years experience working within the oil industry sector in the Middle East and who has been key in making this business happen.

Proprietor Mr Ali Al Badri has recently opened a shop in Basra with the Selwood name prominently displayed. This is a very positive step forward for the Iraqi market and it is anticipated that more orders will be generated later this year.
